(ANTI-INFLAMMATORY FORMULA) - Tamara Gordiyenko put together this formula to subdue inflammations and irritations from toxic, bacterial, chemical, or mechanical injuries; also for relief of sinus congestion. Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza Glabra L.) is nutritive, demulcent, expectorant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antihepatotoxic, (cleans the liver) and mildly laxative. It invigorates the vital energy. Its sweet agreeable taste can mask the disagreeable taste of many acrid or bitter herbs. Its demulcent properties soothe inflammation of the mucous membranes of the throat, bronchi, lungs, and the urinary & gastrointestinal tracts. It is an excellent expectorant, which loosens phlegm and relieves bronchitis, coughs, and asthma, and soothes irritation/ pain of the intestines, as in diarrhea. Chamomile is a mild sedative, which has anti-inflammatory properties. It gives a person calm feelings without itself becoming an addiction. In liquid fonn it is used for bruises, sprains and as a preventive of gangrene. It has been used since Roman times with no recorded ill effects. Calendula (Wild Marigold) heals with speed and relieves internal and external inflammation. It is used externally for bee stings, skin disease, wounds, and varicose veins. Its oil is used for earaches. As an extract, it is applied to bruises and sprains, and can be diluted and sniffed up the nose. It is a good first aid remedy. St. John's Wort is used as an astringent and anti-inflammatory (in stomatology), and also for resolving abscess, phlegm, infected wounds, and burns. In popular medicine it is used to treat the respiratory system, liver, and gastrointestinal tract. In addition, it is used for treatment of neuralgia, paralysis, hysterics, epilepsy, and nervous exhaustion. Sage (Salvia Officinalis L.) is an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory herb. It lowers blood sugar levels and stimulates stomach acid production. Good for herpes as well.
